A wonderful bronze alloy bell with a nine prong copper handle and vajra -- Made by a Tibetan family who have been making authentic ritual bells for more than 50 years. The nine prong handle and vajra is particularly sought after by Nyingma practitioners and the handle has an additional finger hole symbolising the wisdom of emptiness. These sets have an antique style finish on the copper handles and vajras which gives them the appearance of having some age.

Each bell displays a protective vajra fence in between a double row of pearls. Above this are the traditional eight heads of the Kirtimukha. Each is holding a chain of jewels with auspicious symbols in between them. Above the Kirtimukha is a another row of vajras that symbolise the 16 emptinesses. Above this is an eight petalled lotus seat for the eight bodhisattvas and their consorts. They have a vibrant sustained tone of excellent quality!

Base measures 95 mm across.
Vajra measures 5 inches (130 mm)
